HISTORY

Elan was founded in 2000. In order to optimally serve clients in the main Continental European markets, Elan was located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Initially, Elan focussed on consulting services, particularly market studies for the north-west European power and gas markets.

From 2001 until 2009, Elan was a European reseller of PLEXOS, a software package for power market dispatch and simulation. We provided product licensing, product implementation, training assistance, and first-line support. This role has now been handed back to the product developer.

Finally, Elan has for many years been involved in the collection, structuring and licensing of fundamental energy sector data.
